Mrs. Farthing has one degree in Music Education K-12. She has been a teacher for a total of 16 years. She has been a music teacher for 9 years, and before that she was a substitute teacher for 7 years. Our previous music teacher, Mrs. Schnipke, invited Mrs. Farthing to come be our music teacher when she was leaving. Before she began teaching at our school, she taught at Manatee County Schools, Florida, Liberty-Benton Local Schools, and Pandora-Gilboa. Mrs. Farthing’s favorite thing about our school is the friendliness and kindness of the staff and students.
Some of her long term goals are to continue improving her musical skill and sharing her gifts with others. Our staff and students hope she will continue to be our music teacher for future years to come.

In 2012, we welcomed our daughter Riley into the world. This was a bittersweet moment because I was in a lot of pain and had to have an emergency C-section. It was not until 3 days later that doctors discovered I had a ruptured appendix. I had to undergo another major surgery and spent 13 long days in the hospital. Up to this point in my life, I had been very active. It took me 2 long years to recover. Since my ruptured appendix, I have had some unusual medical illnesses but most recently I have been diagnosed with Celiac’s Disease. This year on St. Patrick ’s Day were blessed with a baby boy, Parker. I feel very blessed to have a loving family and be teaching at St. Anthony.
